A quick hi from my busy classroom!
Here's my new exercise which helps to practise job/work related activities as well as to enable you/your students to speak about different achievements/accomplishments. This activity will absolutely lead you to some long lively discussions. I have added an emotional component to it. This is basically what I am working on at the moment: matching emotions and grammar. It turns out to be quite a curious methodical experiment. So let's get to it!
LEVEL: Pre-Intermediate and above
Task. Say what you wish these people to achieve/accomplish. Mention all the possible activities/achievements/accomplishments.
Example:
Teacher: Jane made up her mind to become an architect.
Student: I wish her to (e.g. get many huge projects…)/ May she (e.g. get many huge projects…) / I hope she (e.g. gets many huge projects…)
