Dear readers,
Here is another new activity from me. I came up with the idea completely inspired by the "Idiomatic Inc" Youtube project powered by Gallery Languages. I'm a fan of my fellow teacher Story Paul who has suggested this idiom in one of the episodes.
Target language: LET'S CUT TO THE CHASE
Task. Make up mini-dialogues using the example.
Example:
Speaker A: If I'm not mistaken, you're asking me to give you some legal advice.
Speaker B: Yes, let's cut to the chase! + say what you need or describe a situation
Speaker A:
Speaker A: If I'm not mistaken, you're asking me:
- to give you some personal advice;
- to suggest solution for some business problem;
- to cooperate with you;
- to go to some major event with you;
- to join you at some study program;
- to read a real page-turner;
- to go on some temtping trip with you
Hope this activity becomes one of your favourites!
Yours,
YK xo
