Thank you for visiting this page! Let me share a Speaking activity of mine which is useful for practising: Relations + Attitudes + Present Simple at the Advanced level.
Task. Complete one of the two parts of each sentence. The teacher will do the other part.
LET'S START!
A: When two people get on like a house on fire they, as a rule:
1) hardly ever (2 actions)
2) almost always (2 actions)
B: A breach between two people
1) is hard to get over when (1 fact)
2) is easy to get over when (1 fact)
C: In nuclear families
1) it frequently happens that (2 problems)
2) there are no such problems as (2 problems)
D: Old habits die hard and
1) if you take me, I still (2 habits)
2) if you take my close friend/husband/wife, he/she still (2 habits)
E: Paper cuts are annoying but
1) I can't avoid them when (2 actions)
2) I take them for granted when (2 actions)
Possible answers to sentence B:
A breach between two people
1) is hard to get over when one of the two is still in love
2) is easy to get over when you understand that someone is not the right person for you
